Bicycle - Day 7 just my luck...

So today has been the nicest, warmest day of 2008 and I had big plans to take a long way home to capture optimal footage... and just my luck, the 9V battery for the helmet camera was dead when I left work. Would have been a great one to film but alas I will only have it in my mind...

Morning was Chinooky and warm (+3C) with lots of slush and sketchy semi-icy side streets. Made good time only to find out that my camera had been jostled around in my bag and turned itself off. Great. About a 25min. ride in with a mellow gauntlet, nobody works on Friday in Calgary!

Overall the week was pretty standard, no serious stress from commuting, lots of quiet spins (that's the great thing about commuting in the off-season -- October to April -- there is hardly anyone on the pathways), legs feel like they're getting used to being on the bike again.

Here's the stats for my week:
Time spent commuting on bike - 4.5 hrs.
Distance covered on commutes - 80km.
Cost - once again $0.00
Mental state - not bad, had a couple moments of stress but nothing too bad ;)
